COURSES
COMING SOON ...
Freediving courses in the UK this summer.
The UK's first ever professional, fully certificated courses courses designed to allow you to safely experience the thrill of freediving.
Steve Truglia, Britain's deepest and by far most experienced No Limits freediver has spent several months working one to one with some of the most legendary freedivers in the world. He has extensively studied the techniques and training methods of these great champions.
Steve will be personally be running a series of courses which will include: The history of freediving, essential theory and techniques, safety and rescue procedures, equalisation theory and practice, training for freediving, no limits freediving.
These courses will be progressive and fully comprehensive, including theory and practice, video presentations, pool and open water sessions. If you are interested in learning the joys of freediving, these courses are for you.
If you are a complete beginner we have the course for you. Safe, progressive and informative training. Progress at your own pace in safety and comfort. Learn to really relax in the water.
If you are a freediver looking to improve your performance, Steve guarantees results by sharing with you the secret training techniques of the best in the world. Improve your constant, static, dynamic, free immersion, variable and no limits.
Courses will be run in both pool and open water from August 2002. Courses to be run both in the UK and overseas. There will opportunities to help with and observe Steve doing demonstration deep dives and (according to the timing of your course) record attempts.
If you are thinking of going on a freediving course ask these questions first:
1.) What has the person running the course personally achieved in freediving and what's their maximum depth? How can someone teach you the techniques needed to equalise to 70 metres if they can't do it themselves? You may not want to ever go to such depths but many people experience equalising problems at much shallower depths. These can in most cases be overcome, with correct coaching.
2.) What course materials will they give you? Will they demonstrate techniques with high quality videos, and in person?
3.) What are their safety
systems? An absolute minimum should be:
Scuba safety equipment and someone qualified to use it on standby, First Aid and
Oxygen available, A qualified paramedic on standby. If out at sea these should
be in the boat with you.
